Slabs
Concrete Works of GA offers quality concrete slabs for exterior home renovation projects. Concrete slabs typically can be either thick or thin. The thick types of slabs are generally used for building foundations whereas the thin concrete slabs are best used for tiling a patio, driveway, or pool area. Each slab has a flat, smooth surface that will stand tough against weathering. The underside of each concrete slab can be one of three types:
- Ribbed Slab
- Corrugated
- Waffle Slab
A concrete slab with a ribbed underside provides incredible strength and support for when heavy items are placed on top of it. A slab with a corrugated underside involves having the concrete poured into a steel corrugated tray when placing it in its position. The tray imprints deep grooves on the surface of the slab and this helps it to have extra strength to prevent bending or buckling of the concrete. A waffle design offers strength in every direction underneath the concrete slab.
At Concrete Works of GA, we understand the importance of having a flat, level concrete slab and we will ensure that the slabs on your property are built in the proper manner. Once your concrete slab has been set in place, you have very little maintenance concerns to worry about. If you happen to have small cracks that develop on the slabs, a simple sealant or epoxy filler will help to eliminate any further deterioration as well as fill in the area.
